Photojournalist
Job Summary/Description:
WVUE, FOX 8 is looking for a creative, aggressive, and visual photojournalist to join our award-winning news team. This is a unique opportunity to work in one of America's most exciting cities and a great news town. If you have an eye for powerful pictures and an ear for great sound, this job is for you. The candidate must be able to work in a highly functioning, experienced, talented newsroom. The candidate must be an excellent photographer and editor across all platforms.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Responsible for gathering video, sound, and stills for all FOX 8 multimedia platforms
- Edit video and sound for all multimedia platforms
- You will be responsible for maintaining assigned gear
- Operate ENG trucks and bonded cellular live devices (Live U)
- Post on all FOX 8 digital platforms
- Use Skype/other mobile live devices
- Drive a company vehicle and perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of news photography.
- Flexible work hours required; must be willing and able to work a variety of shifts including but not limited to: mornings, afternoons, evenings, late nights, holidays, weekends and possible overtime hours.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills needed; writing skills a plus.
- Must be willing to work in New Orleans, LA
