Growth Marketing Intern — Creator & Influencer Campaigns (Health AI Startup)
Moku Health is an AI platform that reads every page of your medical records and finds what is worth acting on before you even know it is there. A doctor gets about fifteen minutes with you, and there are years of records sitting behind that visit, so things get missed. We built Moku for people managing complex conditions and for the families taking care of them. It was built by physicians and it is live on the App Store. There is more at https://mokuhealth.ai.
Almost all of our growth so far has come from short-form video, and we want one person to help us run it.
THE MARKETING PROGRAM YOU WOULD BE RUNNING
A fair amount already exists for you to pick up:
- Campaigns running through SideShift and Aha Creators, which are marketplaces where brands hire creators
- A playbook of content angles, now in its third version, which is what our creators shoot from
- Moku's own TikTok and Instagram accounts, where we will post UGC
- Paid ads on Meta running alongside all of it
WHAT A GOOD CAMPAIGN LOOKS LIKE
A campaign works when the videos get watched widely and the people watching them sign up. We need both, and that is the bar we would judge the work against. It is also what the performance bonus below is tied to.
We know a reasonable amount about what makes an individual Moku video good. What we do not know is which creators, which angles and which campaign structures get us both. You would work on that with our co-founder.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Brainstorm a successful marketing campaign with full ownership
- Find, evaluate and hire creators through SideShift, Aha Creators and direct outreach
- Run live campaigns day to day: briefs, onboarding, follow-up, keeping creators on schedule
- Manage Moku's own TikTok and Instagram accounts and post content to them
- Try out AI-generated video and work out where it is good enough to use
- Track how campaigns perform and explain what the numbers mean
- Help work out who our ideal customer is and what reaches them
- Work with our co-founder on what we try next
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The main thing is judgment about how to run a campaign. Who to hire, what to ask them to make, how much to spend before deciding something is not working, and when to give it longer instead.
After that:
- Experience running something similar counts for a lot. An influencer or creator campaign, a brand's social account, a marketplace campaign, or a channel of your own that you grew on purpose. Tell us what you ran and what you took from it.
- Comfort with numbers.
- Organized and self-directed, since creators need chasing and campaigns need follow-through.
- A good sense of what works online. You can say why one video did well when a similar one did not.
- An interest in health or caregiving is a plus, though not a requirement.
NICE TO HAVE
- You make short-form video yourself, or you have used AI video tools enough to know what they can and cannot do
- Studying marketing, communications, business, public health or a health field
COMPENSATION & LOGISTICS
- $1,000 per month as base pay
- Up to $500 performance bonus per month, based on week-over-week growth in signups
- Fully remote, with flexible hours that fit around classes
- Free access to Moku for you, and we are glad to set one up for a family member
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- How creator and influencer marketing works in practice: finding creators, briefing them, agreeing rates, and what a campaign actually costs
- What the first marketing hires at an early-stage AI company spend their time on
HOW TO APPLY
Apply here on Handshake with your resume. There is also an assignment, and it is the part we pay the most attention to. Set aside about two hours.
1. TRY MOKU. Strongly recommended, but not mandated. Sign up free at https://mokuhealth.ai/p/4ESRE4NW and connect your own medical records. The link covers the full cost, and the account stays yours whether or not we hire you. The people who market this well are usually the ones who have felt what it does, so we would really rather you tried it before writing anything.
2. READ OUR CONTENT ANGLES.

Three weeks of the briefs we have been giving our creators.
3. WATCH WHAT WE HAVE PUBLISHED.
We are running two different setups at the moment. It is worth noticing how they differ.

4. SEND US YOUR MARKETING STRATEGY.

A short form: your email, whether you have used Moku, and two questions. What is not working right now and what you would do differently in the next month, and what your overall strategy would be for reach and conversion, including what you would try in UGC and influencer marketing to find content-market fit. Nothing to upload, and no cover letter needed.
