Staff Accountant/Full-Service Bookkeeper

PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for maintaining multiple clients’ books, providing feedback and reports as needed and assisting with various projects throughout the year.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process bank and credit card activity for multiple clients
- Manage client AP and AR functions
- Daily, accurate time tracking by client, chargeable and non-chargeable
- File and maintain accurate client records
- Identify, communicate, and correct discrepancies
- Collect W9s & W8s, determine backup withholding, prepare 1099s
- Reconcile bank, credit card, loans, and general ledger accounts
- Create and share external accounting reports with clients and stakeholders
- Prepare periodic financial statements and reports
- Perform other duties as assigned
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS:
- Prior business experience and ability to apply that experience to a wide range of client situations
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online required
- Prior experience in non-for-profit accounting & reporting a plus
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc) preferred

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required, with some bookkeeping coursework
- Three to five years of related experience preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer
