STEM NOLA: Internship Opportunity

JOB TITLE: STEM NOLA Intern – Seasonal

STEM NOLA Interns assist in day-to-day in-office activities and operations, as well as other community events. STEM NOLA Interns will assist office staff with ongoing event planning and logistics. The intern will own all given tasks and will complete all other duties as assigned. STEM NOLA Interns should be personable, comfortable working with children, public speaking and possess enthusiasm and drive to accomplish goals and objectives while promoting the STEM NOLA culture.

Primary Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Program Design & Execution
  • Kit preparation and production
  • Serve as assistant to assigned staff members
  • Maintain a professional image (dress and behavior)
  • Always maintain a positive attitude with all stakeholders
  • Model kindness, compassion, and understanding, while valuing equity and access for students of all ability levels
  • Attend all required meetings
  • Report to the work and/or event location on time
  • Do not leave work location during the scheduled shift
  • Report all incidents to the management – Complete reports by end of shift
  • Make sure work location is clean and ready for the next day
  • Maintain a safe work environment
