Accounts Payable Intern

Position Summary:

Tweet/Garot Mechanical is offering an internship to participate and learn corporate accounting by working on various accounts payable activities.

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Calculate, post, and verify financial data for use in accounting records by performing the following duties: 
  • Collaborate with the Accounts Payable Supervisor to process and verify financial data
  • Match and analyze invoices against purchase orders to ensure tax and pricing accuracy
  • Maintain credit card charges
  • Assist in quarterly inventory counts
  • Review vendor statements and work with vendors to resolve issues discovered
  • Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and other inquires
  • Ensure vendor information is up to date in ERP
  • Perform other assignments/projects as assigned by the supervisor
  • Participate in internship program activities and company-sponsored activities

Preferred Knowledge, Experience & Skills Requirements:

• Currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance or similar
