About the Role

We are looking for a creative, thoughtful, and highly motivated Content & Social Media Intern to help TBD Investors and its portfolio companies tell their stories, reach important audiences, and build engaged communities.

Our companies serve very different audiences—from patients, parents, caregivers, and clinicians to homeowners, maritime operators, students, business owners, and local communities. Each company needs content that reflects its distinct voice while making complex ideas clear, useful, and engaging.

You may work primarily with one portfolio company or support content projects involving several businesses. Potential assignments may include social media, newsletters, articles, videos, educational materials, executive communications, customer stories, recruitment content, or broader brand-development initiatives.

This is not an observational internship. You will own meaningful content projects, collaborate directly with operating teams, and produce work intended for publication and real-world use.

What You’ll Do

Depending on portfolio needs and your experience, responsibilities may include:

Researching and developing content about portfolio companies, customers, industries, and communities

Creating social-media posts, articles, newsletters, graphics, presentations, and short videos

Helping manage and grow company social-media channels

Developing and maintaining editorial calendars

Interviewing customers, patients, employees, clinicians, CEOs, and industry experts

Translating complex clinical, operational, or technical topics into clear and engaging content

Creating educational resources for patients, families, customers, or employees

Developing executive and employer-brand content

Supporting campaigns related to new locations, services, partnerships, acquisitions, and company milestones

Monitoring audience engagement and using analytics to improve future content

Helping establish consistent brand voices and visual standards

Repurposing strong content across multiple formats and distribution channels

Example Projects

Projects could include:

Creating a social-media and content strategy for a growing portfolio company

Developing patient or family education content for a healthcare business

Interviewing CEOs and employees for a portfolio-company profile series

Creating content for a national pediatric-therapy industry initiative

Developing a newsletter for clinicians, customers, or industry partners

Producing a short-form video series explaining a company’s services

Creating recruitment content that helps a company attract clinicians or other employees

Developing customer stories and case studies

Supporting the launch of a new location, service, or brand

Analyzing content performance and recommending ways to grow engagement
