Job Overview

Seeking an entry-level Chemist I to support a new product development project involving fillable cartridges. The role focuses on analytical testing, method development, laboratory instrumentation, data interpretation, and technical documentation within a regulated medical-device environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of: Raw materials, In-process samples, Finished products
  • Perform analytical testing using: FTIR, ICP-MS, LC-UV, LC-MS
  • Support new product development and compatibility studies.
  • Assist with analytical method development and troubleshooting.
  • Interpret analytical data and identify potential issues.
  • Conduct exploratory research supporting product discovery and development.
  • Prepare and review test protocols, technical reports, and analytical data sheets.
  • Operate, maintain, and support laboratory instrumentation.
  • Accurately document testing activities, results, and deviations.
  • Follow cGMP, regulatory, laboratory safety, and quality requirements.
  • Provide general laboratory and project support.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  • 0+ years of relevant experience — suitable for entry-level candidates.
  • Hands-on experience with: FTIR, ICP-MS, LC-UV / LC-MS
  • Strong understanding of analytical chemistry techniques.
  • Strong data interpretation and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent documentation and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and follow laboratory procedures and safety protocols.

 

Preferred / Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of cGMP requirements.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements for drug and medical-device testing.
  • Experience with analytical method development.
  • Experience working in a regulated laboratory environment.

 

Ideal Candidate

An entry-level analytical chemist with a Bachelor's degree and hands-on laboratory experience using FTIR, ICP-MS, and LC-based techniques, who is comfortable with data analysis, documentation, troubleshooting, and working under cGMP/regulatory requirements.
