We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Roofing Project Manager to oversee residential roofing projects from scheduling through final completion. This role is responsible for ensuring every project is completed safely, efficiently, on budget, and to Midland’s high standards of quality while providing an exceptional experience for every homeowner.
Position Overview
The Roofing Project Manager serves as the primary operational leader for residential roofing projects. This position coordinates subcontractor crews, materials, scheduling, inspections, and homeowner communication while ensuring each project is completed on time, within budget, and according to company quality standards.
The Roofing Project Manager is the homeowner’s primary point of contact throughout construction and plays a vital role in delivering a smooth, stress-free remodeling experience.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Manage residential roofing projects from production scheduling through final completion.
- Coordinate project timelines to ensure efficient installation and customer satisfaction.
- Review project specifications, contracts, and work orders prior to installation.
- Conduct pre-construction planning to ensure projects are ready before crews arrive.
- Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues that arise during construction.
- Perform final inspections to verify workmanship meets Midland quality standards.
- Ensure all punch list items are completed promptly.
Customer Experience
- Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners during active roofing projects.
- Communicate project schedules, expectations, weather delays, and progress updates.
- Respond promptly to homeowner questions and concerns.
- Conduct pre-installation and post-installation walkthroughs when appropriate.
- Ensure every customer receives a professional, organized, and positive remodeling experience.
- Maintain Midland’s reputation for exceptional service throughout every project.
Crew & Subcontractor Management
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractor roofing crews.
- Ensure crews understand project specifications and customer expectations.
- Monitor workmanship, productivity, professionalism, and jobsite cleanliness.
- Verify projects are completed according to manufacturer installation requirements and Midland quality standards.
- Address performance issues and communicate expectations with subcontractor crews.
- Foster positive working relationships while maintaining accountability.
Materials & Logistics
- Verify all materials are ordered accurately and delivered before project start dates.
- Coordinate deliveries with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Ensure all required materials, accessories, and equipment are available on-site.
- Monitor material usage and minimize waste.
- Resolve material shortages or delivery issues quickly to avoid project delays.
Budget & Cost Management
- Manage projects to meet profitability goals.
- Monitor labor, material, and subcontractor costs.
- Identify cost overruns and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Review change orders and ensure proper documentation.
- Help maximize efficiency while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction.
Quality Assurance & Safety
- Inspect projects throughout installation to ensure quality workmanship.
- Verify compliance with manufacturer specifications, local building codes, and company standards.
- Promote safe jobsite practices.
- Identify and correct quality or safety concerns immediately.
- Ensure projects are completed according to warranty requirements.
KPI Management & Reporting
- Track and report key production metrics to leadership.
- Monitor project timelines, budget performance, customer satisfaction, subcontractor performance, quality metrics, and warranty items.
- Maintain accurate production documentation and project records.
- Identify trends and recommend process improvements.
- Participate in production meetings and operational planning.
Documentation & CRM Management
- Maintain complete and accurate project documentation within Midland’s CRM and production management systems.
- Record project milestones, customer communications, change orders, inspections, material deliveries, and job completion details.
- Upload project photos, inspection reports, permits, and warranty documentation.
- Ensure all production records are accurate and updated throughout the life of each project.
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, accounting, and leadership to ensure seamless project execution and customer communication.
Qualifications

- Knowledge of residential roofing systems and installation practices.
- Understanding of building codes, OSHA requirements, and manufacturer specifications.
- Experience in residential construction or remodeling.
- Familiarity with CRM, production management, or project management software.
