Childcare Program Manager

Childcare Program Manager (75%)
Monday-Friday 11:30 - 6:00 p.m. (6 hours/day)

Sauk Prairie Schools Before-School Club (BSC) and After-School Club (ASC) provides childcare for students in grades 4K-5 during the school year and through the summer. The ASC/BSC Childcare Program Manager will be responsible for the overall management of these programs including planning, administering and supervising. This position oversees program operations for before and after school care including staffing, training, scheduling, parent communication, ordering supplies and budgeting. In addition, the program manager will be on-site during afterschool care to support ASC staff in the care, growth and development of children. QUALIFICATIONS

  • CDA, Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Work experience that includes supervising and managing staff. 
  • Minimum of two years experience working as a teacher or teaching assistant in a childcare or school environment.
  • Strong organization and administration skills with the ability to coordinate staffing, develop programming and manage budget.
  • Leadership and management skills as related to staff supervision and program management. 
  • Solid communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate via  phone and email.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with other staff members, supervisors, administrators and the community. 
  • Dependability, flexibility and a commitment to working as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge of Google for spreadsheet and document creation.
  • CPR/AED/First Aid certified with the willingness to stay current on certification and other certifications that may be required. 
  • Working knowledge and understanding of local, educational and service agents and organizations.
