School Site Coordinator - FT
General Function and Description:
The Site Coordinator - FT is responsible for leadership, facility and child safety, site programming and operations, and administrative compliance. At school sites, youth receive targeted services in a safe, supportive environment from staff who believe in the organization’s mission. The Club experience focuses on three priority outcomes:
Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Positive Citizenship.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
● Leadership
o Competent and credible leader others choose to follow
o Define vision clearly and how to get there
o Execute strategy and consistently achieve results
o Coach team to improve performance, solve problems and grow
careers
o Work with leadership and management to assist in carrying out
responsibilities on personnel matters.
● Facility and Child Safety
o Accountable for adherence to all organizational health and safety
policies and implementation of all safety practices and procedures at
assigned site
o Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect members,
staff, equipment, materials, and facilities. Abide by facility
maintenance protocols and procedures to ensure compliance
o Accountable for reporting incidents and completing documentation
within required timeline
o Maintain discipline, de-escalate conflict between members and/or
others
o Accountable for promoting and maintaining a culture of safety in
program area(s)
o Obtain and renew CPR and First Aid certification by deadline
● Administrative Compliance
o Complete all required reports and administrative duties on time.
o Collect and manage required data and internal and external reporting.
Ensure accuracy of data and reporting. Ensure the effective
completion of all assessment and measurement activities of
programs
o Comply with all administrative policies and procedures, processes
and controls
o Accountable for accurate and timely collection and review of
membership application
o Accountable for accurate and timely paperwork, reports, and data
entry
o Accountable for utilizing all BGCGTC communication tools regularly
and effectively
o Maintain current director level certification through State of Texas
licensing
● Site Programming and Operations
o Accountable for oversight of programming and activities in all areas of
school site operation
o Accountable for program quality, effectiveness, and management
across all areas of the school site operations
o Accountable for enforcing all security, safety, and health protocols
o Oversee implementation of all BGCGTC operational policies and
procedures
o Accountable for following all licensing requirements mandated by the
State of Texas
● Relationships
o Be a positive role model
o Maintain emotional control and make good decisions under pressure
o Represent the Boys & Girls Club in a positive manner
o Effectively manage external relationships with key stakeholders
(school staff, parents, etc.)
● Attendance
o Regular attendance is required; arrive on time, work required
hours/shift, and leave at scheduled time
NONESSENTIAL DUTIES
● Complete all other duties as assigned
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
● High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
● Minimum 6 months experience working with youth
● Must meet state licensing requirements for licensed childcare site director
Minimum Qualifications Requirements:
● Ability to work during program hours
● Ability to be a positive role model
● Ability to establish rapport and build relationships
● Ability to relate to at-risk youth
● Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
● Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
● Must be able to pass agency background screens and drug screen at any
time
Preferred Qualifications
● Ability to facilitate, teach, or instruct
● Bilingual
● Currently certified in CPR/First Aid
● Knowledge of various program areas such as healthy
lifestyles, culture and arts, academics, social development
and teen interests
● Work experience with or program knowledge of the Boys & Girls Club
Movement (national and/or local Club) is an advantage
