POST-PRODUCTION & VIDEO PRODUCTION INTERN

ABOUT PHRKZ NETWORK

PHRKZ Network is a new media and entertainment division of DancePhreakz

While DancePhreakz has produced live shows, digital productions, creative projects, and original content for years, PHRKZ Network represents the next evolution of that work—a dedicated platform for original programming and digital storytelling.

The Network will serve as the home for DancePhreakz's growing slate of podcasts, original shows, digital series, interviews, documentaries, visual projects, behind-the-scenes content, and culture-driven entertainment.

Content will be developed and distributed across YouTube, Spotify and other podcast platforms, social media, and additional digital channels, with the long-term goal of growing PHRKZ Network into a recognizable destination for original entertainment and media.

Because the Network is in its launch year, this internship offers a unique opportunity to join at the ground level and contribute to the development of its production style, post-production workflows, original programming, and overall visual identity.

Our goal is to develop a growing home for original stories, entertainment, culture, and conversations that amplify underrepresented creatives and communities.

We're building more than social content. We're developing shows and digital properties designed to live across YouTube, podcast platforms, social media, and future distribution opportunities.

ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP

PHRKZ Network is seeking a Post-Production & Video Production Intern to support the editing, filming, and production of our growing slate of original programming.

This is an editing-first position.

A significant portion of this role will involve turning raw footage into polished, engaging content—including full podcast episodes, interviews, original shows, trailers, teasers, social clips, behind-the-scenes content, and other digital programming.

While editing is the primary focus, this is a hybrid production role. The intern will also assist with filming, podcast production, equipment setup, production days, and general Production Assistant responsibilities.

We are not looking for someone completely new to editing or videography. Applicants should already have hands-on experience editing video and a foundational understanding of filming. This internship is designed to help an emerging creative build upon skills they already have while gaining professional experience producing real-world entertainment and digital media content.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

EDITING & POST-PRODUCTION

Post-production will be the primary focus of this internship.

  • Edit long-form video content, including podcasts, interviews, original shows, digital series, and special projects.
  • Edit multi-camera podcast and interview footage.
  • Sync and organize multiple camera angles and external audio.
  • Identify strong moments, story beats, and compelling sequences from raw footage.
  • Create polished cuts with strong pacing and storytelling.
  • Perform color correction and basic color grading.
  • Clean, balance, and mix dialogue, music, and other audio.
  • Add lower thirds, titles, captions, graphics, transitions, and other visual elements.
  • Create trailers, teasers, promos, recaps, and highlight edits.
  • Turn long-form programming into short-form content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Adapt edits for horizontal, vertical, and square formats as needed.
  • Incorporate feedback and complete revisions within established deadlines.
  • Export, label, organize, archive, and deliver final media assets.
  • Maintain organized project files and post-production workflows.
  • Help maintain consistent visual branding across PHRKZ Network programming.

VIDEO PRODUCTION & VIDEOGRAPHY

  • Assist with filming podcasts, interviews, original shows, BTS content, rehearsals, live events, and other productions.
  • Operate DSLR/mirrorless cameras and other production equipment.
  • Assist with camera placement, composition, framing, lighting, and audio.
  • Capture intentional B-roll and supplemental footage that can strengthen the final edit.
  • Help develop shot lists and filming plans based on post-production needs.
  • Assist with multi-camera productions.
  • Help set up and break down cameras, lighting, microphones, monitors, tripods, and other production equipment.
  • Properly transfer, label, organize, and back up footage following shoots.

PODCAST PRODUCTION

  • Assist with the production of PHRKZ Network podcasts from recording through final delivery.
  • Help prepare cameras, lighting, microphones, and sets for podcast recordings.
  • Assist with multi-camera recording and switching when needed.
  • Monitor basic visual and audio quality during recordings.
  • Edit full-length video podcast episodes.
  • Help prepare audio and video versions for distribution.
  • Create promotional clips and teasers from podcast episodes.
  • Assist with episode assets, thumbnails, titles, descriptions, and other publishing needs.
  • Support publishing to YouTube, Spotify, podcast platforms, and related digital channels.

PRODUCTION ASSISTANT SUPPORT

We want this intern to understand the entire production process, not only what happens in the edit bay.

Depending on the project, you may:

  • Assist producers, directors, videographers, editors, and other crew members during production.
  • Help prepare production spaces before filming.
  • Assist with equipment setup and breakdown.
  • Help maintain production schedules, shot lists, run-of-show documents, and call sheets.
  • Support talent and guests during shoots.
  • Help keep productions organized and moving on schedule.
