SOCIAL MEDIA & CONTENT MARKETING INTERN

SOCIAL MEDIA & CONTENT MARKETING INTERN

DancePhreakz | Phrkz Network | Phrkz Academy | Elevé LA Studio

Location: Los Angeles County, CA | Hybrid
Position Type: Part-Time Internship
Schedule: Approximately 8–12 hours per week, including occasional evenings and weekends
Compensation: Paid Internship

About the Organization:
DancePhreakz is a dynamic, women-owned, and BIPOC-led dance and entertainment production company revolutionizing the industry. We bring creativity, energy, and authenticity to the world of dance and movement. Through our four divisions—Production, Apparel, Academy, and our newly acquired studio and event space—we are building a platform where BIPOC movement artists thrive, fostering a community that is unapologetically fierce, creative, and ready to make an impact.

About the Internship

DancePhreakz is a fast-growing dance and entertainment company producing shows, workshops, and digital media. We’re seeking a social media & Content Intern in the Los Angeles Area (or general southern Los Angeles area)  to help grow our online presence and create engaging, on-brand content. This internship is ideal for a current college student or recent graduate who wants to gain professional experience in social media strategy, content creation, and digital marketing while building a strong portfolio.

We are hiring multiple Social Media & Content Marketing Interns—one intern for each of our primary brands/divisions.

We are currently seeking interns to support:

  • DancePhreakz – Main brand, productions, competitions, events, and creative projects
  • Phrkz Network – Podcasts, original shows, digital media, interviews, visuals, and entertainment content
  • Phrkz Academy – Dance education, tutorials, training programs, intensives, and artist development
  • Elevé LA Studio – Dance, pole, fitness, classes, workshops, events, and studio community
  • Phrkz Collective – Apparel and lifestyle (future/possible placement)

Each intern will be assigned primarily to ONE brand/division. You will NOT be expected to manage social media for all DancePhreakz brands.

Interns may occasionally collaborate across brands on major launches, events, productions, or cross-promotional campaigns, but your primary responsibility will be developing and managing content for your assigned brand. Applicants will have the opportunity to indicate which brand/division they are most interested in during the application process.

About the Position

The Social Media & Content Marketing Intern will support the planning, creation, execution, and management of social media content across the DancePhreakz family of brands.

This is not a beginner-level social media position.

We are looking for someone who already has had experience creating social media content for a brand, business, organization, creator, school project, or their own established platform.

You should be comfortable taking an idea from concept to post—including brainstorming, filming, editing, writing captions, designing basic graphics, scheduling content, engaging with audiences, and reviewing performance.

The ideal candidate understands that each of our brands has its own audience and personality while still being part of the larger DancePhreakz ecosystem.

  • Comfortable appearing at occasional in-person shoots, classes, rehearsals, events, and meetings throughout the Los Angeles area.
  • Able to work independently, meet deadlines, take feedback, and manage multiple assignments.
