Position Overview:

Agrana Fruit US, Inc. is seeking a New Product Development Intern to join our Product Development team in Brecksville, Ohio. This opportunity is ideal for current college students pursuing a degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related field, and graduating seniors seeking hands-on experience looking to build practical skills in a dynamic, global environment.

Internship Duration:

Flexible part-time or full-time internship opportunities are available for a duration of three to six months, with the potential for full-time employment upon graduation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with product developers and cross-functional teams to support the development, formulation, evaluation, and execution of fruit preparation projects for customer applications and internal innovation programs.
• Support sample preparation, pilot plant trials, and customer sample shipments.
• Conduct analytical and quality evaluations on laboratory and pilot plant samples, including pH, Brix, viscosity, and color measurements.
• Conduct research, analyze data and summarize findings to key tasks.  
• Perform sensory evaluations of flavors, colors, textures, and finished products; accurately record and summarize results.
• Maintain detailed project documentation, data records, and reports to support product development activities.
• Gain hands-on experience with food processing equipment and pilot plant operation
• Deliver a final presentation summarizing your project, results, and learning experience to the Product Development department.

Required Qualifications:

• Recently graduated or currently pursuing a B.S degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related discipline
• Basic foundational knowledge of food formulation and laboratory practices.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and support various NPD functions across the organization.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Brecksville, OH Corporate Headquarters.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a food lab or quality control environment.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
