Toledo Independent Childcare Center is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Lead Toddler Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children.

The Lead Toddler Teacher will plan and implement age-appropriate activities, maintain a consistent classroom routine, support children’s social-emotional and developmental growth, complete required observations and documentation, communicate professionally with families, and maintain a clean and organized classroom.

Responsibilities include:

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities.
  • Supervise children and maintain required staff-to-child ratios.
  • Support positive behavior, social-emotional development, and independence.
  • Complete child observations and developmental documentation.
  • Follow Ohio DCY childcare licensing and SUTQ requirements.
  • Maintain classroom cleanliness, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Assist with meals, diapering, toileting, and daily routines.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, coworkers, and administration.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Early childhood education experience preferred. Candidates must be dependable, professional, patient, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Required childcare training, background checks, and other Ohio licensing requirements must be completed or maintained.
