Job Title: Consulting & Public Relations Intern (Policy & Research)

Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented intern to support data-driven decision-making within a policy and legislative environment. This role involves analyzing datasets, conducting public opinion research, and generating insights to inform legislative strategy and constituent engagement. MUST BE WILLING TO WORK ACROSS PARTISAN LINES.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Aid in analyzing and interpreting data, supporting policy development and strategic decision-making
  • Design and conduct online polls, surveys, and research to gather insights into constituent preferences and public opinion
  • Analyze polling data to inform legislative priorities and communication strategies
  • Automate data cleaning and preparation processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Create dashboards, visualizations, and reports to communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ensure confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive data, including constituent and legislative information

Qualifications:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.3 required
  • Experience with polling, survey design, lobbying, or public opinion research
  • Familiarity with legislative processes, public policy, or government operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong reading comprehension and written communication skills
  • High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a legislative, government, or policy-focused environment
  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
