Design Assistant
Position: Design Assistant (Full-Time, In-Studio)
Location: Our Winter Park, FL showroom
Reports To: Design Associates

We are growing and seeking a Design Assistant to support our Design Associates and contribute to our legacy of excellence.
THE ROLE
The Design Assistant works from our 4,500 square foot Winter Park showroom and reports directly to our Design Associates, providing the organizational backbone that keeps our projects moving beautifully. This is an ideal position for a detail-driven, service-minded professional who wants a stable, long-term role with an outstanding team and daily exposure to the full luxury design process, from first sourcing to white-glove installation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist the Design Associates with research, sourcing, pricing, and preparation of FF&E proposals and client proposal packages.
• Enter and track purchase orders, proposals, and invoices in Studio Designer, and keep the Studio Designer, Dropbox and Slack current.
• Coordinate with vendors on quotes, samples, CFAs, lead times, and order tracking, with consistent follow-through.
• Maintain our showroom resource library: organize materials, samples, and vendor catalogs, and manage sample check-in and check-out.
• Prepare and update mood boards, client presentations, and client drawers.
• Manage product images and design files, including scanning, saving, printing, and project documentation.
• Create and maintain design binders, schedules, and design department filing.
• Support site visits, deliveries, installation days, and punch list documentation.
• Assist with showroom upkeep and client hospitality so every visit reflects our standard of excellence.
• Run errands and provide general assistance to the design team as needed.
• Open and inspect packages, photograph and file claims as needed.
• Update companywide calendar and coordinate appointments and follow-ups.
• Measure and Matterport new projects with the Design Associates.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree from an accredited Interior Design program preferred; 1 to 3 years of experience in an interior design support role is a plus.
• Proficiency in Studio Designer (or similar procurement software) strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Chief Architect, or similar design tools; hand-sketching ability is a plus.
• Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets); familiarity with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
• Extremely organized and methodical, with exceptional follow-through and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with a mature, warm, and professional presence in person and by phone.
• An easy communication style and the confidence to work with design staff, trade partners, and a discerning clientele.
• Discretion and professionalism when working in clients' homes and with confidential project information.
• Positive, proactive attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced studio environment.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry sample books, materials, and furnishings.
