Municipal Bond Broker Trainee
Description of position:
We seek an individual who would like to explore a career in the Interdealer Broker space. The role may ultimately lead to a fixed income broker to join Hartfield, Titus and Donnelly, LLC in our Boca Raton, FL office. The successful candidate will serve as liaison between clients executing trades in Municipal securities both via telephone and on our trading platform. This is an in-office position.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Acting as professional client contact for all aspects of trade negotiation and execution.
- Establishing strong relationships with traders at dealer firms.
- Supporting senior brokers in serving their clients.
- Monitoring trade activity and post trade processes.
- Responding to client inquiries and resolving trading issues.
Skills:
- Successful candidate must be outgoing and personable
- Ability to multitask in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail
Experience:
- This is an entry level position.
- Understanding of Fixed Income Asset Classes; concentration on Municipal securities a plus.
- Working knowledge of fixed income markets.
Proficiencies:
- Excellent work ethic with high level of initiative.
- Strong verbal/written communication skills.
- Extremely comfortable with technology – proficient with full MS Office suite.
- Dedicated team-player.
