Coaching That Counts is a New Jersey-based educational consulting firm providing engaging, research-based mathematics professional development, instructional coaching, and curriculum support for K–12 schools, with a focus on grades K–8.

Position Overview

Coaching That Counts is seeking a dependable, organized, and creative intern to support onsite professional development workshops and general business operations. This opportunity is ideal for a college student interested in education, event coordination, technology, social media, merchandising, or small-business operations. Students preparing to become teachers are especially encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Help unload workshop materials upon arrival and repack them at the end of the day.
• Set up and clean up workshop spaces.
• Arrange name tags, prizes, supplies, and participant materials in an attractive and welcoming way.
• Set up lunch and refreshment areas and keep them organized.
• Assemble and display a balloon arch and other branded items.
• Support the presenter and participants throughout each workshop.
• Occasionally photograph or record workshop activities and create or publish social media content as directed.
• Assist with handouts and instructional materials as needed.
• Help with occasional administrative and operational projects.

Schedule and Location

Workshops are held onsite at locations throughout New Jersey approximately one to four times per month, typically at schools and Girl Scout facilities. Workshop days generally begin with setup around 7:30 a.m. and conclude after cleanup by approximately 4:00 p.m.

Applicants must be able to travel to workshop locations. Depending on the location and schedule, an intern who lives nearby may be able to ride with the business owner when arranged in advance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in college; education majors and aspiring teachers are encouraged to apply
• Dependable, organized, professional, and attentive to detail
• Creative and able to arrange materials and displays in a polished, visually appealing way
• Comfortable setting up decorations, food-service areas, prizes, and participant materials
• Comfortable using technology and taking basic photos and videos
• Familiarity with creating and posting content on social media
• Able to lift, carry, unpack, arrange, and repack workshop materials and supplies
• Able to work independently, follow directions, and adapt as needs arise
• Available for occasional full-day weekday workshops
• Experience or interest in merchandising, visual presentation, decorating, hospitality, event setup, or social media is strongly preferred
