Brand Ambassador

Position: Part time independent contractor 

Duration: 6-month to one year depending on performance / Opportunity to integrate the company at a later stage

Time expectation / week: Visit min 20 bars/restaurants/hotels a week / Usual times of work 1pm-6pm Tuesday through Thursday)

Location: NYC (5 boroughs)

Compensation: Weekly stipend plus bonus opportunities based on performance




 

Opius Elixirs


 

Opius is a premium range of 4 extraordinary non-alcoholic elixirs developed for elevated cocktail applications. Crafted in small batches in Ghent Belgium  Opius is currently served in leading hospitality venues and restaurants across Europe. Late 2025, it was introduced in select cities across the USA (Miami, NYC) where it became an immediate hit with the trade. Since the beginning of 2026, we have been expanding our footprint in and around those 2 main cities with a focus on developing a very solid presence in premium on-trade accounts and mixology bars.



 

Role 


 

The Opius Brand Ambassador is a dynamic and engaging individual who embodies the brand

image and values of the Opius portfolio. They are responsible for opening new accounts in NYC, increasing brand awareness with the trade/consumers, and driving sales through in-person interactions and events/tastings. This role requires a passion for the beverage industry, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of sales’ principles.


 

Responsibilities:


 

• Drive Sales: 

Visit on-premise target accounts to present Opius, secure purchase and menu listing 

Execute tasting at retail to drive consumer trial and purchase

• Build Relationships: Establish and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders,

including restaurants, bars retailers, distributors, and consumers.

• Represent the Brand: Act as the face of the brand at various events, including festivals,

trade shows, promotional events, and in-store tastings.

• Engage Trade/Consumers: Enthusiastically interact with consumers, providing education about

our products, conducting tastings, and answering questions.

• Execute Events: Assist in the planning and execution of promotional events, ensuring

successful implementation and brand consistency.

• Gather Market Intelligence: Collect valuable feedback from consumers and industry

professionals regarding our products and competitors.

• Maintain Knowledge: Stay up to date on product information, industry trends, and

competitive activity.

• Administrative Tasks: Accurately track event activities, expenses, and results, providing

timely reports to management.


 

Qualifications:

•  Salesmanship: Strong ability to influence and persuade, driving product trial and

purchase

• Inner drive and ‘hunter’ mentality: like challenges and thrive on turning no’s into yes

• Prior experience in a related trade/consumer selling role (e.g. bartender, server, hostess, retail) preferred but not compulsory

• Communication Skills: 

Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.

Outgoing Personality: Energetic, enthusiastic, and confident individual with a strong

stage presence

• Passion for Beverages: Genuine interest and knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic

beverages.

• Professionalism: Maintains a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.

• Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
