Firm Description:

Dovel & Luner is a plaintiffs’-side law firm that specializes in class actions, mass torts, and trial practice. As a contingency-based firm, we value and reward efficiency and results. Dovel & Luner is an equal opportunity employer, and we are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Job Description:

Our legal analysts perform a variety of tasks that ensure the efficient operation of our practice and our success in court. Analysts conduct research and analysis, craft arguments, and prepare legal briefs used in court before judges and juries. The amount and degree of difficulty of the substantive projects assigned to each analyst depend on the analyst’s performance, motivation, and initiative.

At Dovel & Luner, attorneys and analysts work in a collaborative environment where everyone plays a role in producing the best work product possible. We actively foster our collegial workplace culture by having weekly “Firm Lunches” to discuss and brainstorm ideas about improving the effectiveness of the firm. We also hold “Firm Day” each year for attorneys and analysts to bond together outside of the office, as well as smaller firm-wide events throughout the year.

After leaving our firm, past legal analysts have gone on to top U.S. law schools (such as Harvard, Yale, and Stanford), prestigious graduate programs, and positions in various other industries, including finance, tech, and government.

Compensation:

The annual salary is up to $80,000 for first-year analysts, consisting of a base salary of $70,000 plus a bonus of up to $10,000. Additional financial incentives may also apply, allowing first-year analysts to exceed $80,000 in compensation in some cases.

Second-year analysts receive a base salary of $75,000, plus a bonus of up to $10,000, plus a $20,000 retention bonus after working for twenty-five full months (resulting in up to $105,000 in total second-year compensation).  Additional financial incentives may also allow second-year analysts to exceed $105,000 in some cases.

We also provide a $2,500 relocation bonus and benefits including medical coverage, a dental plan, and fully-vested participation in a retirement plan (the retirement plan is vested after the first year).
