Fall Intern – Computer Recycling Operations & Technology

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Fall Intern to support daily operations at our computer recycling facility. This role offers hands-on experience working with retired computers, electronics, and technology while learning about the operational and technical processes involved in responsible electronics recycling.

The position provides an opportunity to work across both the operational and technical sides of our business, with responsibilities that may vary based on an intern’s interests, skills, and experience. While the role includes exposure to both areas, we recognize that individuals may naturally be more interested in or suited to one side of the operation.

Warehouse Operations & Electronics Processing: Interns will assist with warehouse organization, sorting, processing, inventory management, and the breakdown of electronics for reuse or recycling. Responsibilities will include organizing incoming equipment, maintaining inventory, preparing materials for processing, and supporting an efficient workflow throughout the facility.

Technical Device Intake & Assessment: Interns with an interest in technology may also have the opportunity to support the technical side of our inbounding process, including identifying devices, gathering and recording technical specifications, evaluating equipment, and entering accurate device information into our systems. This aspect of the role is well suited for individuals with an interest in computers, hardware, IT, or technology.

As part of the internship, we will work with each intern to understand their interests and strengths and determine where they can contribute most effectively within the operation. There may also be opportunities to gain experience in both areas throughout the internship.

Given the sensitive nature of the data associated with many devices we handle, interns will be expected to follow strict professional protocols and confidentiality standards at all times. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, responsible individual interested in technology, sustainability, recycling, and gaining practical experience in a professional warehouse and technology environment.
