Growth Intern

About Photon

Photon is the infrastructure behind production-ready messaging agents — connecting AI, conversations, and real-world actions across iMessage, WhatsApp, Telegram, and more.

Thousands of developers build on Photon today. So do startups like Ditto, FlipText, and Folk, and scale-ups like Rho, Minimax, and Nous Research (Hermes).

We're also the team behind some of the most talked-about events in San Francisco — the Photon Residency and GoKarting through SF among them — which have reached millions of viewers and turned a developer tool into something people actually want to be part of.

The role

Photon is growing 2–3x month-over-month, and the ceiling on this role is set entirely by what you decide to go do. You'll sit close to the founders, close to the engineers, and close to the customers. If you have an idea on Monday, the expectation is that some version of it is live by Friday.

What you'll do

Work directly with the companies defining this space. You'll be in the room with the teams building on Photon — from three-person startups shipping their first agent to scale-ups running production traffic. You'll learn what they're building, help them ship it, and turn their wins into stories the rest of the market hears.

Use the Photon brand as a stage. Photon Residency and GoKarting weren't marketing campaigns; they were ideas someone took seriously enough to execute. We want you bringing the next one. Hackathons, residencies, launches, things that don't have a name yet.

Own a piece of the growth curve. 2–3x MoM doesn't sustain itself. You'll find the channels, run the experiments, kill what doesn't work, and pour fuel on what does. You'll be measured on outcomes, not activity.

Open new verticals. Messaging agents are showing up in places nobody has mapped yet. You'll pick a wedge, build the thesis, run the first motions, and tell us whether it's real.

You might be a fit if

  • You've shipped something on your own. Scale matters less than the fact that you started it.
  • You write well and quickly. Most of growth here is producing ideas.
  • You can commute to SF.
  • You'd rather be given a problem than a task list.
