Position Summary
The Florentine Opera seeks a Digital Media Intern to bring our artistic vision to life through creative storytelling. You will work closely with the Marketing and Education & Community Engagement teams to produce Versed (our signature edu-tainment series) and create social media content.
Responsibilities
- Assist with filming and editing artist and creative interviews, production trailers, and rehearsal and backstage content.
- Film and edit promotional trailers for the Opera in Schools tour and community outreach.
- Work closely with the Director of Marketing to create 16x9 and 9x16 content.
- Under the supervision of the Education & Community Engagement Manager, handle end-to-end production, including video capture, audio recording/mixing, lighting setup, color correction, graphics, and preparing digital assets for web and social distribution.
- Ensure all video content aligns with production schedules, organizational goals, and brand standards.
- Build email campaigns to assist in promotion and distribution of information on upcoming productions
- Other special project duties as assigned.
Who Should Apply
Advanced undergraduates (completed at least two years) or recent graduates with backgrounds in Film, Videography, Digital Media, Communications, or related fields. Ideal candidates are:
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Skilled in camera operation (Sony cameras preferred) and nonlinear editing (DaVinci Resolve preferred).
- Creative, adaptable, and excited to gain hands-on experience in a performing arts environment.
- Eager to blend artistic vision with technical execution across multiple media formats (video, audio, web, and photography).
- In tune with social media trends, video formats, and fast-paced short-form storytelling techniques.
- Excellent communicators who can comfortably interact with artists, creative teams, youth performers, and community partners.
Applicants with equivalent experience in digital content creation, documentary filmmaking, or arts marketing are strongly encouraged to apply.

Workload Note: While the schedule is flexible, hours will be heaviest during the three weeks leading up to opening nights:
