Mission Path is a non-profit that exists to reach the next generation with the gospel and to equip them to evangelize to a lost world.

We do this by reaching Gen Z online with gospel proclamation, connecting returning viewers to believers in an online community, and training those viewers towards real-world evangelism. This funnel starts on YouTube with Revival Maps.

Mission Path is looking for a Thumbnail Design Intern to design high-performing thumbnails and supporting graphics for Revival Maps and other Mission Path video content.

Responsibilities

  • Design eye-catching, high-CTR thumbnails for YouTube and other platforms under the direction of the Producer / Exec Director
  • Create supporting graphics (title cards, lower thirds, social graphics) for short- and long-form content
  • Collaborate with the video/content team to understand each video's hook and message
  • Test and iterate on thumbnail concepts based on performance data
  • Maintain visual brand consistency across thumbnails and graphics
  • Manage a queue of multiple thumbnail requests on a weekly turnaround
  • Participate in our online community of believers and one 1.5-hour Bible study each week

What you’ll gain

  • An understanding of what drives click-through on YouTube/social platforms (composition, color, contrast, text)
  • A deep understanding of how the video intro, thumbnail, and title work together to capture and keep your audience's attention
  • How YouTube can be used as a tool for evangelism

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in college (or recent grad); graphic design, visual communications, or related field preferred
  • Portfolio demonstrating thumbnail or graphic design work (YouTube thumbnails a plus)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite, including Photoshop, as well as similar design tools
  • Comfortable working with faith-based/ministry content and aligned with Mission Path's mission
  • Reliable and deadline-driven; able to commit to 10-20/week
  • Bonus: basic video editing, animation, or motion graphics experience
