Leasing Associate

LEASING ASSOCIATE (FULL-TIME) 

In-Person at Stamford Location

Salary: $40,000-$50,000 per year

Summary of Position:

A motivated and outgoing individual who is a natural sales person. He/she relates to people, making them feel comfortable while executing the leasing and marketing goals of the company.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meet, greet and qualify prospective residents, conducting community tours, showing apartment homes, processing applications, credit screening and criminal background checks, preparing the lease and move-in package and ensuring a smooth resident lease signing and move-in.
  • Stay up to date regarding market and competitor conditions.
  • Ensure that the apartment community meets company standards, communicate with maintenance and upkeep needs to the community's maintenance team.
  • Follows-up with future residents to ensure satisfaction by sending e-mails, texts, thank-you notes or making telephone calls or other contacts to finalize decisions to lease an apartment.
  • Responds quickly and courteously to resident concerns and questions, and take prompt action to solve problems and/or document and convey resident or other requests to the appropriate team member.
  • Complete various internal administrative reports.
  • Identifies areas for improvement and offers suggestions and recommendations to improve efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications-Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business is preferred.
  • Experience in customer service, leasing, sales or marketing 
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to comprehend and complete the legal lease documents, sell and explain apartment amenities and answer questions regarding residency.
  • Proficiency in executing sales skills, such as generating sales leads, conducting sales presentations, qualifying prospects and closing.
  • Literate with computerized word processing software.
  • Proficiency and fluency in using social media and the internet for marketing, advertising, and sales-related circumstances
  • Must have a valid state approved driver's license.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the Leasing Professional to frequently walk, stand, and climb stairs in/around apartment homes, models, and apartment communities. Must also have the ability to operate an automobile and operate computer equipment.
