JOB DESCRIPTION

Jose Leisure is a new party rental and e-commerce company launching in Broward County, Florida based in Oakland Park.  We're built around our mascot, Captain Jose, a 6lb Chihuahua in a Captain's Hat with a mission to give back to local animal rescues through our charitable arm, Captain Jose's Crew. We're a true startup, almost ready to launch, and we're looking for someone who wants a front-row seat to that. 

THE ROLE 

This isn't a typical position where you're handed one task and stay in your lane. You'll work side by side with the owner, supporting customers, keeping our systems and operations running smoothly, and serving as someone the founder can genuinely count on. There's potential to earn commissions, bonuses and raises as the business grows. If you're personable, dependable, have a can-do attitude, not afraid to get dirty, and want real ownership and responsibility, this role is built for you. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

● Serve as a primary point of contact for customers — answering questions, coordinating bookings, and handling issues with professionalism and care 
● Manage customer records and bookings in our rental management system (Booqable) and other business tools 
● Help oversee day-to-day operations, including organizing inventory and managing equipment turnover between weekend rentals 
● Support and help build our systems and processes as we grow — you'll shape the playbook, not just follow one 
● Work directly alongside the founder as a trusted right hand across the business

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR 

● Entrepreneurial mindset — genuinely curious about how businesses work, not just looking to check a box 
● Comfortable doing both office work and physical warehouse tasks
● Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented with a positive attitude and excited to work directly with a founder in a startup environment
● Comfortable with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office (Docs/Sheets or Word/Excel), Canva experience is a plus
● Comfortable learning new software quickly (you'll pick up our booking system and other business tools on the job)
● Lives in Broward County with reliable transportation 
● Strong interpersonal skills — comfortable and warm with customers, professional under pressure, English Speaking a must
● Willing to pitch in on hands-on operational work as needed 
● Detail-oriented and takes ownership of problems rather than waiting to be told what to do 
● No specific degree or industry background required — the right attitude, entrepreneurial spirit and reliability matter more than a resume line

Location: Oakland Park, FL (in-person, warehouse, on-site, and some remote) Pay: $18–$20/hour, with ability to earn future commissions and bonuses Hours: Minimum 30 hours/week to start, with the opportunity to grow into full-time Start Date: As soon as we find the right candidate
