Store Manager

Job Summary

Duties

• Lead and supervise all store activities, including sales, customer service, inventory management, and merchandising to ensure operational excellence.
• Recruit, interview, train, and develop team members to build a high-performing retail sales team.
• Manage employee orientation programs and ongoing training initiatives to enhance team skills and product knowledge.
• Oversee payroll processing, bookkeeping, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor inventory levels through inventory control practices; coordinate purchasing and stock replenishment to meet customer demand.
• Implement pricing strategies and merchandising plans that maximize sales opportunities while maintaining profitability.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, manage shift schedules, and communicate managerial updates effectively to foster a motivated team environment.

Experience

• Proven management experience within the retail industry, including supervising sales teams and managing store operations.
• Strong background in retail math, budgeting, and operational management with an emphasis on inventory control and sales management.
• Demonstrated skills in negotiation, customer service excellence, and managerial communication.
• Experience with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail store product knowledge.
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
• Prior experience in grocery or similar retail environments is advantageous.
• Successful track record in recruiting, training & development, supervising staff, and managing retail sales teams with a focus on achieving business objectives.
