Veterinary Assistant / Clinical Research Assistant

Join a highly specialized veterinary practice on NYC's upper West Side focused on cats with hyperthyroidism.

This is an ideal job for any pre-vet / vet students interested in gaining experience in a clinical setting with the world recognized expert on feline hyperthyroidism. Perfect for any active students looking for part-time employment or graduates looking to gain clinical experience on their gap year.

This is a part-time position with possible growth to full-time. Weekday evening availability with some weekend flexibility required.

Duties include (not limited to):

• Evening feeding for cats undergoing treatment
• Administration of medications as needed (oral, transdermal, injection)
• Coordination with team members and doctor
• Communication with pet owners
• Data collection / entry for research studies

Qualifications for the successful candidate will include:

• Ability to deal with and care for cats of all temperaments with patience and compassion
• Ability to keep detailed records / follow written care instructions
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Compassionate interaction with pet owners
• Proficiency in Excel, G-Suite, Square a plus
