In this role, you will help ensure insurance documents are reviewed accurately, processed efficiently, and compliant with ELANY requirements and New York law. What You’ll Do
- Review incoming insurance documents for accuracy, completeness, and acceptability;
- Determine appropriate coverage and classification codes;
- Verify that insurers are eligible for stamping in New York State;
- Identify items that require additional information, correction, or return to the broker;
- Communicate with brokers to obtain clarification or supporting information when needed;
- Correct minor clerical errors on affidavits with broker consent;
- Assign proper suspense codes for returned unstamped batch items;
- Stamp documents that meet ELANY requirements and New York excess line laws;
- Process and stamp documents accurately while meeting production guidelines.
What We’re Looking For
- At least two (2) years of property and casualty insurance experience preferred;
- Familiarity with excess/surplus lines documentation and terminology preferred;
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with compliance-focused documentation;
- Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations related to insurance premium percentages;
- Clear, professional verbal communication skills and the ability to follow up effectively with brokers.
