Fall 2026 Campaign Internship (Paid)
The Minnesota House DFL Campaign is currently seeking an intern for the 2026 Fall session (September to December) who is interested in contributing to a fast-paced political campaign and helping House DFLers win back the majority in the MN House of Representatives.
Interns will learn essential skills that, upon completion of their internship, will prepare them to land a full-time job in a political fundraising operation as a finance assistant and/or call time manager. Interns will learn to conduct donor research, process contributions, support event planning, help prepare for and manage call time, and support other campaign departments as needed. This role is based in the House DFL Campaign Finance Department and includes regular interaction with DFL House members.
Duties will include:
- Helping plan and execute events
- Designing engaging event invitations
- Processing contributions
- Data entry and maintenance
- Donor research
- Assisting staff with call time preparation/management
- Maintaining files and organization systems for multiple departments
- Working independently on additional internal-facing research projects assigned
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects
- Commitment to progressive values and winning back the DFL majority in the Minnesota House
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.)
- Experience using Canva and a strong eye for design and visual presentation
Hours and Compensation:
Interns will be paid $16.50/hour and may also receive academic credit from their school. The internship will run from September to December. Hours are flexible and will be arranged in coordination with House DFL staff and interns' schedules, with an intern expected to work 10 hours per week.
