This is a 2nd Shift position based in Grand Haven, Michigan (Monday–Friday, 2:50 PM – 10:50 PM).

What's the Job?

As a Production Team Leader, you'll lead a team of manufacturing professionals while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement remain at the center of everything we do.

You'll spend your day coaching team members, solving production challenges, supporting Lean Manufacturing initiatives, and helping ensure our customers receive exceptional products on time.

What You'll Do

Ensure In-Station Process Controls are Followed

Perform required inspections of components and subassemblies to ensure standardized work instructions are being followed. Analyze and escalate abnormalities, support problem-solving efforts, and report production variances as part of end-of-shift reporting.

Lead Standardized Work and Job Rotation

Support and participate in job rotations to promote ergonomic safety and standardized work. Train team members on work instructions and quality procedures while maintaining accurate documentation for continuous improvement.

Become the Technical Expert for Your Area

Develop a strong understanding of the manufacturing processes and equipment within your assigned production cells. Support efficient setup, changeovers, troubleshooting, and day-to-day operations.

Champion Workplace Safety

Create a safe working environment by supporting ergonomic assessments, participating in safety audits, training new employees, and reinforcing safe manufacturing practices every day.

Drive Continuous Improvement

Support changes to standardized work and job breakdowns while partnering with operators and fellow team members to improve quality, efficiency, and overall performance.

Own Production Performance

Take ownership of schedule attainment and daily production results. Support team members with quality, material, equipment, and production issues while accurately reporting daily performance metrics.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent
• 3–7 years of leadership and manufacturing experience. We recognize that valuable leadership experience can come from professional roles, internships, military service, student organizations, athletics, or volunteer work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High expectations for yourself and your team
• A passion for coaching others, solving problems, and driving continuous improvement
• Ability to work 2nd Shift (Monday–Friday, 2:50 PM – 10:50 PM)
