Whatnot Live Seller & Show Runner — Paid Internship (Path to Full-Time) — Pretty Girl, Fordham Rd Bronx NY

Pretty Girl Dept. Stores ("Pretty Styles. Pretty Prices. Pretty Much Everything.") is a family-owned, off-price department store chain with three NYC-area locations, operated by Blue 4 Fashion. We stock real brand names — PUMA, Champion, Calvin Klein, Adidas and more — at closeout prices. We are launching live selling on Whatnot and hiring a student to run it A to Z out of our Fordham store at 270 East Fordham Road, Bronx, NY 10458.

This is an IN-STORE role. Every show is filmed and run from our Fordham Road store, using our inventory, our space and our staff. You are not working from home and you are not sourcing your own product — you walk in, we hand you the merchandise, and you go live. Our store team is there with you to pull product, help pack and hand off shipments, and cover the floor so you can focus on the camera.

This is a PAID internship with a real growth path: build our Whatnot channel into a sales machine and it becomes a full-time live-commerce role for the whole chain.

What you'll do (you own it A to Z):

Set up and run our Whatnot seller channel end to end: plan shows, build listings and auctions, price items, schedule and promote every stream

• Go live and host from the store floor: show product on camera, run auctions and giveaways, work the chat, keep the show fun and moving
• - Pull inventory with the owner and the store team: brand-name closeouts, 99 cent finds, $5.99 dresses, fragrance, sneakers — pick what pops on live
• - Get every order out fast on Whatnot's prepaid labels — our store team packs and ships alongside you, so shipping times and seller ratings stay green (late shipping is what kills a Whatnot account, and you will not be doing it alone)
• - Handle buyer questions, issues and refunds like a pro
• - Track every show — sell-through, average order, new followers — and double down on what works
• - Promote upcoming shows on TikTok and Instagram (@prettygirlstoresofficial) to drive viewers

Who you are:

Currently enrolled college student — all majors welcome (an active Whatnot, eBay, Poshmark or TikTok Shop side hustle counts more than a major)

• Comfortable on camera and quick on your feet: live selling is part game show, part hustle
• - You know resale and live-shopping culture: Whatnot, TikTok Shop, eBay Live, sneakers, streetwear, collectibles
• - Organized and reliable: auctions, orders and shipping deadlines can't slip
• - Retail, sales, customer service or social media experience is a plus — we will train the Whatnot side
• - Able to work on site at our Fordham Road store, lift boxes, pack orders and keep the inventory area tidy
• - Based near Fordham / the Bronx / Upper Manhattan / Westchester

Schedule and pay:

Flexible, as-needed schedule — the store is open 7 days a week, 9:30am-8:30pm, and you choose your hours (evening shows are gold)

• Paid: $16.50-$20.00 per hour depending on experience, with performance-based raises tied to show sales
• - Performance-based promotion to a full-time live-commerce role covering all three stores (Mt Vernon, Fordham Rd in the Bronx, and Jamaica Ave in Queens)
