ABOUT THE COMPANIES
Your Equipment Suppliers and Roll Ice Cream LLC are equipment, training and business support companies serving entrepreneurs, manufacturers and food businesses.
Your Equipment Suppliers is based in Trinidad and Tobago and works with micro and small manufacturers across the Caribbean and other international markets. The company supports customers seeking equipment for food preparation, production, preservation and packaging.
Roll Ice Cream LLC is a US company serving dessert entrepreneurs through commercial equipment, training, technical support and business education.
Interns will gain exposure to both a US business and an international business operating across different markets.
WHY THIS INTERNSHIP IS DIFFERENT
This is not a research internship where reports disappear into a folder.
You will work on real projects, present your findings and learn how growing companies evaluate contracts, markets, partnerships and expansion opportunities.
You will receive clear assignments, templates, regular feedback and the opportunity to complete work suitable for your professional portfolio.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Global Opportunities Research Internship is designed for students interested in procurement, international business, trade, market research and economic development.
Successful applicants will be assigned to one of two tracks based on their interests and strengths.
The Procurement and Bid Research Track focuses on government, institutional and development sector opportunities.
The Market Intelligence and Global Expansion Track focuses on new markets, competitors, potential partners and industry opportunities.
Most assignments will use public information and will not require access to sensitive company systems.
WHAT YOU MAY WORK ON
All interns may:
• Conduct structured online research using credible sources
• Organise findings using company provided templates
• Compare opportunities using clear evaluation criteria
• Prepare concise weekly summaries and recommendations
• Present selected findings during review sessions
• Complete a final portfolio ready research project
PROCUREMENT AND BID RESEARCH TRACK
You may:
• Monitor SAM.gov and selected global procurement platforms
• Identify relevant tenders, contracts and vendor opportunities
• Review deadlines, eligibility and submission requirements
• Summarise requested products, services and documents
• Prepare preliminary bid or no bid recommendations
• Research vendor registration requirements
• Maintain a shortlist of suitable opportunities
MARKET INTELLIGENCE AND GLOBAL EXPANSION TRACK
You may:
• Research potential countries, cities and customer segments
• Compare competitors, products, pricing and positioning
• Identify distributors, resellers and training partners
• Research trade shows, accelerators and industry programmes
• Identify potential institutional buyers and business organisations
• Prepare short market opportunity reports
• Recommend markets or partnerships for further review
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
