Communications Intern

"Mi Familia En Acción / Mi Familia Vota is seeking a creative, organized, and mission-driven student to join our Communications team as an intern. You will work directly with MFA's Communications Department to support strategic messaging, digital communications, campaign materials, storytelling, and organizational communications across all states where MFA operates.


 

Responsibilities include:

Communications & Content Development: 

Assist the Communications Department in developing print and digital communications materials.

Draft newsletters, blog posts, press materials, website content, and organizational messaging.

Help create educational resources that support MFA's national initiatives.

Social Media & Digital Communications

Create engaging content for Social media and all our digital platforms.

Assist with graphic design, short-form videos, reels, and campaign toolkits.

Monitor social media engagement and identify opportunities to expand audience reach.

Storytelling & Community Impact

Collect and highlight community stories, volunteer experiences, and organizational successes.

Support communications surrounding events, advocacy campaigns, and community programs.

Assist with translating or adapting materials to ensure accessibility for diverse communities, including Spanish-speaking audiences.


 

Qualifications 

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Interest in nonprofit communications, public affairs, public relations, journalism, marketing, or digital media.

Experience creating content for social media platforms is preferred.

Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Workspace, or similar communications tools is a plus.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.

Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred but not required.

Open to undergraduate students and recent graduates from any accredited institution.
 

This is a Semester Long Internship.
