Probation Technician – Alcohol Safety Action Program (Full-Time)

This position provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by working directly with individuals who are referred to the program following alcohol-related offenses, including DUIs. The Probation Technician plays an important role in helping clients successfully navigate program requirements through strong case coordination, communication, and customer-focused support.
The ideal candidate is proactive, compassionate, organized, and able to build positive relationships while maintaining program policies and expectations. This role is perfect for someone interested in social services, criminal justice, behavioral health, case management, or community support.
What You'll Do
- Provide case coordination services to ASAP clients through an established and structured client delivery process
- Meet with clients to review program requirements, expectations, and progress
- Monitor client participation and maintain accurate, timely case records
- Provide referrals and connect clients with appropriate community resources
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, referral sources, and community partners
- Support clients in completing program requirements while promoting accountability and positive change
- Apply program policies consistently while providing respectful and understanding customer service
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Three years of experience working in a social services agency, case management setting, or related field
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to establish trust and rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Compassionate and understanding approach while maintaining appropriate boundaries
- Ability to balance empathy and accountability when working with clients
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to be proactive and resourceful
- Ability to interpret and follow program policies and procedures
- Proficient computer skills and ability to learn new systems
- Dependable, professional, and able to work independently and as part of a team
