Anti-Human Trafficking Coalition Intern

Job Summary: The Anti-Human Trafficking Intern provides support and coordination of all Anti-Human Trafficking Coalition Services at The Center. This position is essential to educating youth and community members about human trafficking and victim services. The Anti-Human Trafficking Intern reports directly to the Executive Director.

 

Duties Include:

  • Responsible for promoting, scheduling and conducting trainings to groups, schools, providers, and community members.
  • Provide updates and help facilitate bi-monthly Coalition meetings.
  • Will manage Coalition initiatives such as Community Awareness events.
  • Responds to inquiries from the general public, service providers, law enforcement, and the judiciary about human trafficking.
  • Researches and gathers laws, as well as the most current data pertaining to human trafficking in Ohio and nationwide.
  • Will monitor all inquiries via social media, email, etc. to assure accurate and current information is always available and accessible for victims searching for resources.
  • Identifies community resources and makes appropriate referrals for services.
  • Ensure that all needed forms and education/support materials are updated and easily accessible to staff and families.
  • Participate in community coalitions and teams and ongoing professional trainings, including out-of-town.
  • Create social media posts with quick facts, resources and events.
  • Any other tasks as requested by the Executive Director.

Community Outreach and Professional Responsibilities  

  • Participate in ongoing professional trainings, including out of town. 
  • Promotes mission and provides awareness of victim services and human trafficking statistics in Medina County.
  • General office duties including answering phones, making copies, upkeep of office supplies, and any other office tasks that may be requested by direct service staff.
  • Any other tasks as requested by the Executive Director.
