Job Announcement

Curriculum and Instruction Clerk  

The position of a Curriculum and Instruction Clerk is available immediately at East Central ISD for the 2026-2027 school year.  All individuals (district employees included) who are interested in this position must apply online through Frontline via the district website.  The deadline for submitting an application is until the position is filled.    

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Organize and manage the routine work activities of an administrative department office and provide clerical services.   

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Receive, process, and maintain inventory and order receipt confirmation
  2. Maintain department meeting space calendar and reservations
  3. Maintain Professional Development database and course catalog
  4. Provide clerical and organizational support for summer and afterschool programs
  5. Maintain and update substitute coding and records
  6. Prepare correspondence, reports, recommendations, charts, etc.
  7. Obtain, gather, and organize pertinent data relative to Curriculum and Professional Development.
  8. Maintain filing systems and process incoming correspondence.
  9. Place and receive telephone calls and record messages.
  10. Perform bookkeeping tasks; input data.
  11. Type and reproduce instructional materials to support projects.
  12. Maintain confidentiality of information.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

High school graduate or equivalent

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Must pass Basic Skills Test; (or have passing score on file)

Above average skills in typing/word processing, editing and composing letters/reports

Proficient in technology applications

Must perform assigned duties with a minimum of supervision  

EQUIPMENT USED:  Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals

WORKING CONDITIONS:  Mental Conditions/Physical Demands/Environmental:  Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions.  Prolonged sitting; bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting. Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; 

reaching.  Lifting and carrying for inventory tasks (less than35 pounds). May work prolonged or irregular hours; occasional district wide travel. Normal office environment. 

PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT:  220 days basis        

SALARY:  Paraprofessional Pay Grade 303
