Content & Social Media Intern

Content & Social Media Intern (In-Person – Orange County)

About Ascentive Digital

Ascentive Digital is an Orange County-based Google Ads agency focused on helping local and professional service businesses generate more leads through performance-driven advertising.

We’re a growing team with big goals, so this isn’t the type of internship where you’ll spend your time on repetitive tasks. You’ll work directly with our leadership team, contribute to real projects, and play an active role in expanding our brand online.

What You’ll Do

As our Content & Social Media Intern, you’ll help create and manage content across platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and potentially TikTok.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Filming both short-form and long-form content with our team
  • Editing videos into engaging social content (Reels, Shorts, TikTok, etc.)
  • Scheduling and publishing content across multiple platforms
  • Monitoring comments and engagement while responding professionally
  • Keeping our content calendar organized and up to date
  • Tracking performance metrics and identifying what’s working
  • Researching competitors and other creators for new content ideas

This position requires in-person availability in Orange County for regular content filming and production.

What You’ll Learn

This internship is designed to provide practical marketing experience, including:

  • Direct mentorship from the company’s founder
  • Experience working inside a growing digital marketing agency
  • Hands-on content creation and video production
  • Exposure to Google Ads and performance marketing strategies
  • Opportunities to grow as the company continues to scale

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about growing a brand, not just posting content.
  • Excited by entrepreneurship and eager to contribute to a fast-growing company.
  • Experienced with video editing tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, Canva, or similar software.
  • Active on platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and familiar with current content trends.
  • Highly organized, dependable, and able to take ownership without constant direction.
  • Creative, proactive, and willing to bring new content ideas to the table.
  • Currently studying (or recently graduated in) marketing, communications, business, or a related field is a plus, but a strong portfolio and the right attitude matter more than your major.

If you’re based in Orange County and want hands-on experience that goes beyond a typical internship, we’d love to hear from you.
