Talent Onboarding Specialist

Talent Onboarding and Engagement Specialist


Position Summary
Hansen Technologies is seeking a highly motivated and people-focused Talent Onboarding & Engagement Specialist to support our growing manufacturing operation in Commerce, GA. This role serves as the primary point of contact for hourly production associates, helping ensure a positive employee experience from onboarding through ongoing engagement and retention.
The ideal candidate will have a background in staffing, workforce management, recruiting, or human resources and possess a passion for employee relations, coaching, and workforce development. This position will work closely with site leadership, production teams, and staffing partners to maintain a productive, engaged, and compliant workforce.


Key Responsibilities


Onboarding & New Hire Experience
• Coordinate and facilitate onboarding activities for all new hourly production associates.
• Conduct new hire orientations and ensure completion of required employment documentation.
• Serve as the primary point of contact during the onboarding process, addressing questions and concerns.
• Monitor attendance and engagement during the critical first 90 days of employment.
• Partner with supervisors to ensure successful integration of new employees into the workforce.


Employee Engagement & Retention
• Build strong relationships with production associates through regular floor presence and employee interaction.
• Conduct employee check-ins, coaching sessions, and stay interviews to improve retention.
• Address employee concerns and escalate issues when appropriate.
• Support employee recognition programs, engagement initiatives, and morale-building activities.
• Assist with conflict resolution and provide guidance on workplace policies and expectations.


Staffing Vendor Partnership
• Act as the primary liaison between Hansen Technologies and staffing agency partners.
• Coordinate workforce planning efforts to meet production staffing requirements.
• Monitor contingent workforce performance, attendance, turnover, and retention metrics.
• Facilitate communication regarding openings, employee performance, and workforce needs.
• Participate in staffing strategy discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.


Human Resources Support
• Assist with employee relations matters while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
• Support policy communication and compliance efforts.
• Maintain accurate employee records and onboarding documentation.
• Assist with workforce reporting, attendance tracking, and employee data management.
• Support HR initiatives related to training, compliance, and employee development.


Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of experience in staffing, recruiting, workforce management, HR, or employee relations.
• Staffing industry experience strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting hourly manufacturing, warehouse, or production employees preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and effectively communicate with employees at all levels.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
•Comfortable spending significant time on the production floor interacting with employees and supervisors.


Preferred Skills
• Experience conducting orientations and onboarding programs.
• Knowledge of employee engagement and retention strategies.
• Familiarity with attendance management and workforce planning.
• Experience partnering with staffing agencies or managing contingent labor programs.
