Independent Freight Agent
Experienced Independent Freight Agent: 1099 Remote Opportunity
Somerset Logistics is currently accepting applications from experienced freight agents with an active and transferable book of business.
This is a remote, commission-based independent contractor opportunity for established freight professionals who want the freedom to run their own agency with the financial strength, technology, and operational support of an experienced brokerage behind them.
This is not an entry-level position or freight-agent training program. Applicants must have verifiable freight brokerage experience and established customer relationships.
About Somerset Logistics:
Somerset Logistics is a veteran-owned, family-owned freight brokerage that has been helping customers move freight across the United States since 2000.
For more than 26 years, we have built an agent-first brokerage around long-term stability, dependable support, transparent commissions, customer protection, and direct access to leadership.
Somerset remains privately held, with no venture-capital ownership or outside investors influencing our agent program. Our freight agents have the freedom to manage their own books of business while receiving hands-on support from real people who understand the transportation industry.
