Lab Technician Assistant
The Lab Technician Assistant supports the DNA preparation scientists and lab technicians by cleaning and sterilizing glassware and biological products, preparing growth media, and performing other lab maintenance tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate is a hard working capable of following instructions in exact detail in a timely and responsible manner. Full time, 10am-6pm variable hours depending on workload, Monday through Friday, salaried position. Reports to DNA Prep lab manager. Ideal starting date is August 3rd, 2026 or ASAP.
Duties:
- Completing assigned tasks in a timely manner
- Following manager’s instructions accurately
- Cleaning and sterilizing glassware and labware
- Preparing biological culture growth media
- Properly sanitizing and disposing waster media
- Operate autoclave sterilizers
- Assisting lab scientists, and other requirements deemed necessary by the company
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Prior experience in a laboratory environment
- BS/BA in life science field preferred
- Prior experience working in a laboratory environment and familiar with lab safety processes and standards preferred
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary, $35,000 to $45,000 range depending on experience and other qualifications
