What You'll Do
As a Communications & Social Media Intern, you will support the Product Line Management team in creating and promoting content across multiple channels.
Responsibilities include:
- Creating and scheduling social media content for LinkedIn and other platforms
- Partner with product managers to craft key messages
- Create and edit communications content including internal updates (emails, newsletters, leadership briefs) and external content (blogs, thought leadership drafts, social snippets)
- Writing social media posts, promotional copy, and internal communications
- Designing graphics and visual content using Canva or similar design tools
- Researching industry topics, trends, and company news to support communications initiatives
- Collaborating with team members on ongoing projects
- Ensure consistency across messaging
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, Journalism, Digital Media, Business, Graphic Design or a related field
- Completed at least 15 hours of classwork in Major at 3.0 GPA or better
- Strong writing (clear, concise, executive-ready)
- Ability to adapt tone: internal vs. customer-facing
- Familiarity with LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, or other social media platforms
- PowerPoint/Excel/Word/SharePoint/Confluence (must-have baseline)
- Ability to utilize AI tools (CoPilot) effectively
- Experience using Canva or similar graphic design tools
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and contribute
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing social media accounts for a club, organization, internship, or business
- Knowledge of social media engagement and analytics
- Experience with webinar platforms such as Microsoft Teams or Zoom
- Basic understanding of content marketing and brand communications
