Position Summary

The Social Media Content Creator & Publisher will support digital engagement efforts by developing, curating, scheduling, and publishing compelling content across multiple social media platforms. This position will help increase brand visibility, strengthen audience engagement, and promote organizational programs, campaigns, events, and announcements.

The ideal candidate is a creative, detail-oriented professional with strong writing, visual storytelling, and social media publishing skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop engaging social media posts, graphics, and short-form videos that align with organizational branding and messaging.
  • Write clear, concise, and compelling copy for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and X.
  • Adapt content, tone, and format for different platforms and audiences.
  • Create content supporting campaigns, events, announcements, and organizational initiatives.
  • Maintain social media content calendars and publishing schedules.
  • Schedule and publish content using approved social media management tools.
  • Review content for grammar, formatting, branding, links, accessibility, and overall quality.
  • Coordinate content reviews and approvals with internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor social channels for comments, questions, messages, and audience activity.
  • Respond to or escalate inquiries according to established guidelines.
  • Support engagement strategies that encourage positive audience interactions.
  • Track reach, engagement, impressions, audience growth, and other performance metrics.
  • Prepare performance reports and recommend improvements based on analytics.
  • Collaborate with marketing, communications, creative, and program teams.
  • Manage multiple campaigns, assignments, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, digital media, or a related field.
  • Experience creating, scheduling, and publishing social media content.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience creating content for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and X.
  • Proficiency with social media management platforms such as Meltwater, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or similar tools.
  • Basic graphic design and short-form video editing skills.
  • Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or comparable creative tools.
  • Understanding of social media analytics and performance reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain a consistent brand voice.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting energy, infrastructure, government, public-sector, or community-focused communications.
  • Knowledge of digital accessibility standards and inclusive content practices.
  • Experience working within structured content review, approval, and compliance processes.
  • Ability to adapt messaging for different audiences, platforms, and organizational initiatives.
