Federal Business Development Intern

Albacore, a defense-first undersea autonomy startup, is seeking a Federal Business Development Intern to help drive pipeline growth and support strategic partnerships. The intern will research target customers and markets to identify leads to. They will also help prepare briefing materials, policy research, and proposal drafts for Albacore’s Business Development team to support customer engagement.

The ideal candidate is a clear, concise communicator and a proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-moving startup environment and can work independently with minimal oversight. Being Washington, DC-based is a plus, as is prior experience in the federal government, Congress, or defense tech, but neither is required. This role is best for someone who wants hands-on experience in federal sales strategy, customer discovery, and go-to-market execution.

The role is remote or DC-based, part-time (20 hours per week, flexible with class schedules), and is paid. Internships will start immediately upon acceptance.
