Marketing Internship

Company: Architech Inspection Systems, Inc.

Location: Oahu, Hawaii (from home work — some fieldwork required)

About Us:
Architech Inspection Systems is Oahu's most experienced home inspection company, founded in 2003 with over 13,000 inspections completed. We are dual-certified through ASHI and InterNACHI and are currently expanding our reach through a stronger social media presence, realtor education events, and community outreach.

Position Overview:
We're looking for a Marketing student to help build and manage our social media presence. This is a paid, hands-on internship — you'll be doing real work with real visibility, not just shadowing. You'll edit and post video/photo content supplied by our inspectors, help grow our audience, and build marketing skills you can bring straight into your career.

A full sample work schedule, showing exactly what a typical semester in this role looks like week-by-week, is available here: https://ahipro.com/paid-student-opportunity/

Responsibilities:

  • Edit and package photo/video content (supplied by our inspectors from job sites) into social-media-ready posts
  • Build and maintain a content calendar across social platforms
  • Create educational content (tips, homeowner Q&A, home maintenance advice) adapted from our existing articles
  • Support outreach efforts using company-provided referral and contact lists to grow our audience
  • Track engagement and prepare periodic performance reports
  • Help develop a social media playbook/style guide for the company to use going forward

Qualifications:

  • Current student in Marketing (or related Shidler major)
  • Comfortable with social media platforms and basic content editing tools
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently
  • Interest in gaining real-world marketing experience for their resume/portfolio
  • This role involves representing Architech Inspection Systems to local Hawaii clients, realtors, and homeowners, and benefits from familiarity with local culture and community norms. Please describe your connection to Hawaii — for example, growing up here, attending school here, living here for a period of time, or other ties to the islands — and how that would help you in this role.

Preferred:

  • Current or former Hawaii resident, or someone with meaningful lived experience in the islands. This role involves representing a local, community-rooted business, so a genuine understanding of Hawaii's culture — distinct from mainland norms — is a real asset.

Hours & Compensation:

  • Paid position
  • Up to 20 hours/week during the school year (per Shidler guidelines); up to full-time in summer. make your own hours
  • Minimum 150 hours over the internship period, per Shidler College requirements
  • Scheduled evaluations at orientation, mid-point, and end of term

Program Coordinator:
