Social Media Intern
SAWs (Servants at Work, Inc.) is seeking a creative and organized Social Media Intern to help tell the stories behind our mission of building wheelchair ramps for individuals and families in need across Indiana.
This internship is ideal for students interested in marketing, communications, nonprofit work, photography, videography, or digital storytelling.
Responsibilities:
Create social media content for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
Attend and document at least two SAWs ramp builds during the internship
Capture photos, short-form video, and volunteer/client stories respectfully and professionally
Write captions and create graphics that align with SAWs’ mission and brand voice
Schedule and publish content using Hootsuite
Organize content ideas, drafts, and planning calendars in Notion
Help maintain a consistent posting schedule and identify opportunities for engagement
Skills We’re Looking For:
Strong written communication skills
Basic photography and video editing skills
Familiarity with Canva, Instagram, Facebook, and short-form video content
Comfortable learning and using Hootsuite and Notion
Ability to work independently, stay organized, and meet deadlines
Interest in nonprofit storytelling and accessibility advocacy
Minimum Requirements:
Must have reliable transportation to attend ramp builds and events in Indiana
Must be comfortable interacting with volunteers and community members
Must provide examples of social media, design, photography, or video work
