Sales Intern

OVERVIEW

Loper is a Chicago-based enrollment marketing platform that helps colleges, universities, and employers reach and engage prospective students through interactive, gamified content. Our sales team is responsible for identifying and winning the institutional and employer partners who bring Loper's games to their students. We're looking for a Sales Intern to help build the visual assets supporting our demos and to help grow our prospect pipeline

WHAT YOU'LL DO DAY-TO-DAY

  • Design mockups in Figma that show prospective clients what their game content and branded experience could look like on Loper, turning a pitch into something tangible before a contract is signed.
  • Prospect potential customers, researching institutions and employers to identify strong-fit accounts and build outreach lists ready for the sales team to act on.
  • Conduct account research on prospective clients, covering enrollment trends, leadership changes, competitive positioning, and other factors that shape how Loper should approach a given account.
  • Support conference and campaign outreach, helping enrich contact data and draft outreach materials for events like Slate Summit or NACAC’s annual conference

WHAT YOU'LL GET OUT OF IT

  • A high-responsibility role on a small team, where your research and design work directly shapes real deals in progress.
  • A close-up look at how a startup actually gains market share: how prospects are identified, how a pitch is built, and how a small team competes for accounts against larger, more established players.
  • Hands-on exposure to how a business uses AI tools like Claude to scale research and outreach work that would otherwise take a much larger team.
  • A front-row seat to how a startup runs, across sales strategy, client-facing design, and go-to-market execution all at once.
  • Paid monthly stipend; 10-20 hrs per week (we will work around your availability)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate in any field of study with an 3.0/4.0 GPA
  • Strong research skills, with the ability to quickly get up to speed on an unfamiliar institution or company
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple prospects and research threads at different stages at once
  • Strong written communication skills, particularly for outreach and pitch materials
  • Genuine interest in how AI tools can be used to scale sales and research work
  • Interest in higher education, enrollment, sales, business development, or start-ups
