Primary Responsibilities:
The Marketing Intern is responsible for supporting a range of marketing, communications, and fundraising activities as determined by the Marketing & Community Engagement Specialist. Duties may include updating social media accounts, creating marketing materials, handling administrative tasks, and updating the HAC website.

Key Responsibilities
- Create, edit, schedule, and publish content across HAC's social media platforms.
- Monitor social media accounts by responding to comments and messages as directed and tracking engagement metrics.
- Assist in the creation and production of engaging marketing materials, including digital graphics, flyers, and promotional content.
- Collaborate with staff to gather stories, photos, and content that showcase HAC programs and community impact.
- Update and maintain website content, including program information, events, and announcements.
- Ensure all marketing materials align with HAC's brand standards and communication goals.
- Capture and edit photos and videos of programs, events, and facility activities.
- Perform other marketing, communications, and administrative duties as assigned by the Marketing & Community Engagement Specialist.
Duties and responsibilities may be modified, expanded, or reassigned at any time to meet organizational needs.
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Enrolled in a bachelor's program in marketing, communication, fine art, advertising, public relations, or similar field (preferred)
- Relevant combination of education and experience
Required Skills
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
- Ability to meet consistent attendance.
- Must have excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
- Ability to interact with colleagues, supervisors, and customers face-to-face.
- Ability to use a personal computer with basic Microsoft/Windows software applications.
- Familiarity preferred with photo and video editing software, especially Adobe products (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.).

Work Environment:
- Work is performed in diverse environments, including office areas, aquatic facilities, community spaces, and occasional outdoor settings.
- The aquatic environment may include warm temperatures, humidity, water exposure, and moderate noise, consistent with a public swimming facility.
- This position is public-facing and involves regular interaction with individuals of all ages and abilities.
- The schedule may include occasional evenings or weekends; flexibility in scheduling and work methods may be provided where feasible.
