Social Media Coordinator Intern

Job Title: Social Media Coordinator Intern (Remote) — Cornerstone Health Advocates

Employment Type: Internship, Unpaid

Location: Remote

Hours: 5-10 hours/week

Duration: Fall semester 2026 (flexible start/end to match academic calendar)

Cornerstone Health Advocates is a faith-rooted nonprofit based in Western Massachusetts. We help working families navigate health insurance, medical billing, and prescription costs. Our approach is "kitchen table help", direct, practical, and free of jargon.

About the Role

We're building out our social media and content presence and need someone to take raw video and turn it into a consistent weekly output across Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. The founder handles filming. You'll handle everything after that.

Responsibilities

  • Edit weekly video content into finished YouTube uploads with captions
  • Cut long-form video into short-form clips (Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts)
  • Write and schedule social captions for Facebook and Instagram
  • Design simple graphics in Canva using our brand templates
  • Post on a Tuesday/Thursday cadence
  • Monitor comments and flag any that need a response
  • Track basic engagement metrics monthly

Qualifications

  • Comfortable with video editing tools (Descript, CapCut, Premiere, or similar)
  • Comfortable with Canva or similar design tools
  • Strong, clear writing
  • Reliable and able to hit a weekly posting schedule without heavy oversight
  • Interest in healthcare, nonprofit work, or content/marketing a plus, not required
