Operations Manager
Get in on the ground floor
Zoom Books is opening a brand-new fulfillment center in Columbus, and we're looking for an Operations Manager to help us build it from day one. This isn't a role where you inherit someone else's playbook — you'll be part of the founding team standing up a modern, automated book and media fulfillment operation, setting the standards, and growing into a leader as the site scales.

What you'll do
- Run day-to-day warehouse operations across receiving, put-away, order fulfillment, automated sortation, and shipping
- Lead, schedule, and coach a first-shift floor team, including agency and temporary staff
- Keep our automated sortation line moving and troubleshoot throughput bottlenecks
- Own inventory accuracy and order/shipping quality
- Champion floor safety, including forklift and OSHA compliance
- Track performance metrics and drive continuous improvement
- Partner with leadership and vendors to keep the operation humming
What we're looking for
- A bachelor's degree (recent grads encouraged to apply) in business, supply chain, logistics, operations management, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience
- A natural organizer and communicator who's comfortable leading people
- A hands-on mindset — you're happy to be out on the floor, not just behind a desk
- An adaptable problem-solver who thrives in a fast-moving, build-it-from-scratch environment
- Comfortable spending the shift active on a warehouse floor (standing, walking, occasional lifting)
- Available for first shift, onsite in Columbus
- Forklift and warehouse management system (WMS) experience are a plus, but not required — we'll train the right person
